The International Association of Democratic Lawyers is joining with many organizations in the Philippines and internationally to call for September 14, the Global Day of Action on the Philippines to #StopTheKillingsPH. Here are the actions you can take and the event that you can join:
OUR URGENT CALLS
Stop the killings!
UN Human Rights Council, investigate the human rights situation in the Philippines!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
- Sign on the statement at https://act.350.org/sign/stop-killings-philippines/ by September 13, 2020
- Join the International Solidarity Event on Zoom at 3 pm to 5 pm, Philippines time on September 14. Registration must be completed by September 12 at: https://bit.ly/2GwUnIx
- Take individual photos of individuals carrying signs of the above calls and post them on social media with a personal message with hashtags #StopTheKillingsPH #HRC45
- Conduct any mass action or organize a gathering
- Write to governments to enjoin them to support initiatives at the UNHRC and respective countries
- Watch the online solidarity program on 14 September, 3-5pm PHT on Facebook pages of organisers – including our page, https://facebook.com/IADLLaw
