Our aims

The International Association of Democratic Lawyers is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with consultative status to ECOSOC and UNESCO.

Our constitution

IADL's contitution was amended at the 14th Congress in Cape Town, South Africa, April 1996.

Our history

The IADL was founded in 1946 by a gathering of lawyers who had survived the war against fascism and participated in the Nuremberg Trials.
